I submitted v1.0 of the Improved app today, and it feels like there’s still a year’s worth of “fast following” work remaining.

I spent a couple of hours battling with SiriKit the other day. 

Getting messages to work was a breeze. Photos intents however completely misbehaved. Couldn’t even get the debugger to attach.

February is turning into a upskilling-and-mobile-community month: Cocoaheads, GDG Wellington, Webstock, and wrapping up with Playgroundscon. It’s actually very cool to be supported by Trade Me (my employer) for all these. I event got myself a new T-shirt.

Tonight’s @GDGWellington event was fantastic. @AgentK did a great job at introducing people to Kotlin. For the first time, we live streamed the event, but not without technical difficulties. It turns out that the Periscope android app can’t handle more than 30 minutes of streaming. At least not on my Google Pixel…
